In a ceremony at Guyton Christian Church on January 22, 2012, Archie Jenkins was named Georgia Layman of the Year by the Georgia Disciples Men.  Congratulations Archie!

Join us at Decatur First Christian Church for the Spiritual Listening Workshop being held on March 10th, beginning at 9:00am and ending at 1:00pm with lunch together. The workshop is sponsored by the Caregiver Spiritual Support Ministry. A donation of $20.00 is requested to cover the cost of the books each participant will receive. All are welcome. Email Rev. Decatur First Christian's Caregiver Spiritual Support Ministry facilitates a Caregiver Support Group meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm. The Group is open to all caregivers! For information or questions, contact the Church at 404-378-3621.

High School Seniors - Higher Education and Leadership Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) invites high school seniors interested in new kinds of Christian leadership to apply to join the 12th class of HELM Leadership Fellows.  Leadership Fellows experience an ongoing relationship with the Church that adds value to their educations through organized opportunities for fellowship, training, and service to the church. With the help of a campus mentor, fellows design and conduct projects on or near their campuses, participate in an annual conference focused on shaping a Church for the future, and receive a $2,000 annual scholarship grant.  

St. Andrew Christian Church in Macon has called a new minister.  The Rev. Terry Theus will be installed on Jan. 29th, 2012.
